B's Golf Mk2 Syncro

Having sold D436JNG to the bloke from the local-shop...and hoping nobody would notice the difference between the two...

General:
- removed middle silencer
- supersprint stainless rear muffler
- AVO coilovers, 400/325 lb springs front/rear
- cobra seats on sparco subframes from the old golf
- Mp3/CD head unit
- half smoked rear clusters (a la g60)
- Leather OEM steering wheel from "Fire & Ice" limited edition g60.
- cooling system modified to cope better with caning it.
- vented/grooved/drilled discs & EBC greens
- 15x7" AEZs on 195s

This rare model also is the only golf in the UK to have FOUR ENGINES! yes you'd think you were flying a 747... alas only one of them is in the car and working, but it's the thought that counts I'm sure.

This is the first golf to have 3 engines, soon to be four. Alas the hunt for the rare and wonderful parts needed to turn a RHD syncro golf into a fire-breathing monster are...well..rare. Here's the plan..

Take 1 block from a g60-syncro (has all the transfer box holes in the right places, also has under piston oil jets), add a 16v head from a regular 16v golf, add some forged pistons (from an RS2 potentially), a balanced bottom end, balanced top end, knife-edged crank, ported & polished head mated to a custom downpipe etc.

At this point, possibly aquire another rolling shell (or a diff car for the time being), weld, sand and seam-weld the whole thing till it's mint, solid & very strong. Add TT/G60syncro drivetrain, remove part of passenger footwell for downpipes, add previously prepared engine, add forced induction, respray in midnight blue, leather interior, tints, 1-piece poly rear windows, numerous electronic gizmos and generally tear around the place as you do...

er something like that anyhow... lets see if i get this motor together in it's basic 16v format first eh ;-)

Awaiting fitment:
- Infinity 6x9s awaiting thinner, lighter parcel shelf
- 16v motor (+ turbo or blower - depends..)
- clearcross headlights, smoked indicators & repeaters [prob not gonna bother]
- smoothed boot, dropped plate etc [oh go on then]
- de-handled rear doors [dunno about this...got a welder now tho so who knows]
- jet engine
- Nuclear powered wigwam with additional Teepee-turbo-matic-buffalo-misting.
